Jennifer Hardie
Managing Director International

Jennifer Hardie is a senior public relations trainer and consultant with more than 14 years of experience working in the UK, Brussels, Sweden, Eastern Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.
Jennifer is the creator and coordinator of the International Public Relations Association Summit, an annual international conference for PR directors and managers from around the world to gather and share best practice and experience. This Summit is attended by more than 200 senior delegates and is consistently popular for the quality of its content and its seamless organisation.
Before joining Pinnacle in 2002, Jennifer worked as a director for Edelman Public Relations in Stockholm and as a consultant for Government Policy Consultants (Fleishmann Hillard) in Brussels. Jennifer has also managed pan-European communications campaigns for large companies, governments and NGOs.
Jennifer is the Council Chair for the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) in the UK and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Will Hardie
Managing Director

Will Hardie is a former international correspondent for Reuters news agency. He reported from foreign postings in Brussels, Stockholm, and ultimately Belgrade and across the former Yugoslavia -- on topics ranging from corporate and financial news and EU politics, to riots, espionage and ethnic cleansing.

Duncan Hart
Training Director London

Duncan started his career as a journalist before moving into PR some 17 years ago. He has since held a number of senior in-house and consultancy positions including Press & Public Relations Officer for the Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service, which regularly saw him acting as spokesman to the print and broadcast media at major incidents across the county. He subsequently became Media Manager for UK bank Alliance & Leicester throughout its flotation and listing as a FTSE 100 company, before moving into consultancy. Over the past eight years Duncan has worked at leading national and international PR agencies including Burson-Marsteller and most recently MS&L, where he was Head of Financial Services. Specialising in corporate positioning, thought leadership and issues management, Duncan has worked with major companies including Bank of Scotland, Royal & SunAlliance, Prudential, Western Union, i-flex Solutions, EDF Energy and Accenture. He has also advised the board of Equitable Life. At his two previous agencies Duncan established successful media training divisions, devising and delivering training programmes both in the UK and overseas for companies such as Philips in The Netherlands and DeBeers in South Africa, along with many London-based courses for executives from oil and gas, financial and professional services companies and the public sector.

Elsbeth Smedley
PR trainer and consultant

Elsbeth has over 15 years’ experience in PR working both for agencies and in-house. She has managed campaigns at national and international levels across all PR disciplines including consumer, corporate, crisis management, technology, business-to-business and entertainment, for an array of clients ranging from multinational conglomerates to specialist small businesses. She ran the PR division of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide's Brussels office for four years, managing a multinational staff developing and implementing PR programmes at local, European and global levels, as well as supporting public affairs and lobbying initiatives.

Adrian Wheeler
PR trainer and consultant

Adrian Wheeler was educated at Dulwich College and Clare College, Cambridge. He started out as a local newspaper reporter, then joined a City public relations firm in 1972. Four years later he co-founded Sterling PR, which was acquired in 1990 by Grey as its first PR office in Europe. Wheeler was CEO of GCI UK until 2005, and as chairman was instrumental in developing GCI Europe into a 28-office EMEA network with 53 multi-country clients including Dell, BA, Novartis and Eli Lilly. He left in 2005 following Grey's acquisition by WPP. Adrian is active in the PRCA, CIPR and IPRA. He has lectured on public relations in the US and Europe. He is currently a non-executive director at Firefly Communications and the London Communications Agency, and is a partner in The Gyroscope Consultancy. He is also a director of British-American Business and is a member of the Vice-Chancellor's Communications Panel at Cambridge University. This year he is co-chair of the CIPR Excellence Awards.

Roger Hayes

Roger Hayes is a senior communications professional, corporate social responsibility adviser and strategist. Veronica Scheubel

Veronica Scheubel is the former Senior Manager, Community Involvement for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Nokia. At Nokia, she successfully developed and managed the company’s global community involvement program with implementation in more than 20 countries including global communications, cause-related marketing, internal communications campaigns, and website management and reporting. Before joining Nokia’s Head Office, Veronica built up the social and cultural sponsorship programs for Nokia in Germany. Veronica worked with Nokia form more than eight years and left at the end of 2005 to work as a senior advisor to a number of organisations.

Amy Johnson
PR trainer

Amy has 15 years experience in consumer marketing, corporate communications and public relations and has directed multi-national campaigns in the United States and Europe. Zena Martin
PR trainer

Zena has 20 years' marketing communications experience in the US and UK, ranging from advertising, to in-house marcomms, to public relations. Philippa Taylor

Philippa joined Pinnacle in 2007 and previously worked in top London PR agencies such as Good Relations and Ketchum.Food, drink, lifestyle and consumer healthcare: clients in these industry sectors, including Nestlé and Masterfoods, have been a recurrent theme for Philippa during her two decades in the public relations business.

Felice Hawley

Felice is a versatile editor, writer and broadcaster with in-depth experience of economic and business news, including more than a decade covering European financial markets. During a 15-year career at CNN, she helped create and then produce "World Business Today", the award-winning, live, daily, half-hour financial and business news programme on CNN International. Moving from TV news to text, Felice became Managing Editor of Hoover's Online Europe, responsible for a team of business journalists and all online editorial content on the business information service. She now writes and edits on a freelance basis for a range of clients. Helen McClure

Helen McClure is a senior PR consultant specialising in and with extensive knowledge of strategic communications. Helen has extensive experience in both journalism and PR, and has worked for both in the private and the public sector. She has served nine years with British Army’s Media Operations Group, as well as working for the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency and QinetiQ.

As a PR manager for Zurich Financial Services, Helen developed additional expertise on social issues to head up Zurich’s public service business unit, Zurich Municipal. Naomi joined The Sunday Times in 1996 and was editor of the personal finance section for six years. Duncan Farmer
Media trainer

Duncan Farmer began his journalistic career as trainee reporter on his local paper, The Bucks Herald, 20 years ago. From there, he moved to the Leicester Mercury and then, after two years, came to Fleet Street, where he worked as a freelance on titles as varied as The Daily Telegraph, Daily Star and Sunday People, before landing a full-time job on The Sunday Times, where he spent five and half years on the business and personal finance desks. He left in 2001 to become deputy editor of a new personal finance magazine launched by the Mail on Sunday. Two years later, he went freelance once more and has been writing ever since on property, health, personal finance and business issues for a variety of national newspaper and magazines, including the Mail on Sunday, the Daily Mail, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, City AM and, occasionally, The Sun.

Robert Hart
Media trainer

Robert worked for Reuters for more than three decades as a correspondent, news editor and regional editor. He was a correspondent in Singapore, in Vietnam at the peak of the war, and in West Germany. He later took on the roles of global news editor, editor for Latin America and the Caribbean, editor for the UK and Ireland, and Chief Correspondent for Spain. Most recently Robert has taken part in training Reuters graduate trainee journalists and has run training workshops for the Reuters Foundation around the globe.

Eithne Treanor

Eithne has 20 years' experience as a television reporter, working for major international networks including BBC, Sky, Bloomberg and CNBC Europe. Ahmad Yassine

Ahmad Yassine is a presenter with CNBC Arabiya in London. Prior to joining CNBC he was a news anchor with Arab News Network (ANN). At ANN he created a weekly show "Cover Story" where he examined leading stories in the press and looked at their impact on the Middle East.
